The site was selected for its secluded location, surrounded by woodland, and for its south facing, sloping fields. A full landscape and visual impact assessment was undertaken, a public consultation held at the village hall in Partridge Green and a planning application submitted. Despite a recommendation from the planning officer, and no objections from consultees, the local planning authority did not grant planning permission, however we successfully appealed this decision. Construction took place in summer 2015, and the solar farm has been operational since December 2015.
